BoroBot is excited to *finally* announce a pilot Adult 3d printing workshop. This class is for adults aged 22+, and will run June 21st and June 22nd, 6-7p each day. No prior experience necessary, but basic PC/Windows knowledge is required.
The cost is: Middleboro Resident $95, Non-resident $105, Veteran $75, Senior Citizen $75.
This class will give you the ability to design useful tools and objects around the home/workplace, and also to prototype new inventions.
Attendees will design a final project and will pick up the finished print at BoroBot. In addition, BoroBot staff can help interested attendees to pick out a 3d printer that meets their needs for at-home printing following the class if they are interested.
This adult class and it's price tag is a piece of the strategy that we have to keep kids classes free but also to grow our nonprofit makerspace to provide more and better services to the community that willed us into existence. Thank you and hope to see you there!

)Classes are back! We are proud to announce our ‘Intro to 3D Printing' Class will be in person! In this class, students will get to interact with our instructors, and thanks to OctoPrint technology purchased with our 2020 Mass Development grant, will get to watch their designs print in real-time via webcam after the class is over.

The next class dates will be Tuesday 8/10, Wednesday 8/11, Thursday 8/12. The classes will run from 6pm-7pm and will be located in downtown Middleboro at 11 Center Street.

The classes also build off one another, so the student will need to be present for all three classes. Laptops will be provided.

It is a great learning opportunity to gain exposure to this technology even if the student doesn’t have CAD or 3D printing experience. 

Your child will be taught by BoroBot instructors who are makers themselves and have experience with this technology. They will work with each student to make sure they are learning and having fun!

Students will leave with experience and excitement to learn and do more.

Our March 2021 Virtual 3D Printing class dates are here! We will be holding our virtual 3D printing class on Wednesday, March 10th, Thursday, March 11th, and Friday, March 12th 6p-7p. As a reminder, this class is *free* for Middleboro kids ages 10-18. We are able to provide this class free of charge because of all the awesome support we have received from the Middleboro community!

As always, our virtual 3D printing class is designed to not only encourage brand new learners, but also can be beneficial for those with some 3D printing or CAD experience. The class is 3 days and the classes build off one another so it is important to be able to attend all 3. Hope to see you there!

Our second round of virtual classes are open! Due to COVID-19, BoroBot volunteers have been working tirelessly to figure out a way to continue classes online. We are proud to offer our virtual ‘Intro to 3D Printing' virtual Class! Hi everyone!

As you may know, BoroBot donated 1050 face shields to first responders, healthcare workers and medical facilities. Now, as we move back to our mission of teaching, we have one last project to help those who are on the front lines: ear savers! Thanks to Brandon Beller we have a file we would like to share that you can print at home! Brandon helped us out tremendously when we were working on a design for the face shields, and we wouldn't have been able to help as quickly as we did without him.

We have printed and are distributing 1000 of these as we speak; and please keep an eye out for our upcoming *virtual* classes!

January 3D Printing class dates have been released!

The dates are:

Saturday, February 1st  6:30-8:00pm

The intent behind this workshop series to provide an introduction from design to print. Participants will learn some basics of computer aided design (CAD), overview of 3D printing hardware and software, troubleshooting the 3D printer, and inspiring creativity through 3D printing.

Sign-ups accepted through Friday, January 24th (11:59pm). Seats are limited. Participants must be able to attend all 3 sessions.
